Technocracy Reloaded peels back the curtain and examines the role of the Technocracy in Mage 20th Anniversary Edition. The various Future Fates presented in Mage 20 are examined and this book introduces a few of its own. This book provides a detailed look at life within the Technocracy, expanded information on the Conventions, a wealth of equipment, Adjustments, and Procedures, a breakdown of the various shadow conspiracies and factions within the Technocratic Union, and tips for running your own Technocracy Chronicle.

Hello Arisen,
I don't know about you, but I've sort of lost track of the days, and somehow every day has become casual Friday. Maybe even a little more casual than casual Friday, to be honest.
Something, something, non-linear time. You know where I usually go with this.
I've honestly experienced about 15 Tuesdays in a row now.

Hello Arisen,
We've hit the last day of March 2020 (finally!), so I wanted to make sure we get our monthly update in under the wire. I hope everyone is keeping safe and doing the best possible under recent circumstances. The times are certainly challenging, but we can find strength with our community, our family, and especially within our friendships.
If I could experience time in a non-linear fashion, I would get to 2020 last!

If you've found yourself with "extra" free time, and are looking for additional ideas, remember the list of Inspirational Material from the Mummy: The Curse Second Edition Kickstarter preview manuscript:
Movies and Television
Altered Carbon (2018) In the future, people store their memories on disks and transfer their consciousness from body to body, granting them a type of immortality.
Bubba Ho-Tep (2002) Though the film features a mummy as its antagonist, we’re recommending it for the way it shows the characters dealing with aging and the powerlessness they feel as a result of it.
Fringe (2008) Another study in how memory shapes identity, the character of Dr. Walter Bishop underwent several brain surgeries to remove memories he felt made him dangerous. As the series progresses, he regains many of them, and must deal with the fallout.
Memento (2000) is an excellent exploration of memory and loss, and how someone builds (and alters) their narrative with limited and often conflicting information.
The Mummy (1999) represents several elements of Mummy — a race to find a hidden city and claim the relics within, traps laid to protect the tomb, ancient sorcery. Imhotep’s desiccated body repairs itself much like one of the Arisen, and his formidable displays of power could easily be Utterances. Though their aim is to keep him from rising rather than serving him, the Medjai have been protecting Imhotep’s tomb for thousands of years, much like a mummy’s cult.
Books
11/22/63, by Stephen King (2011) explores many of the ripple effects altering a timeline can cause, both on a small scale and a global one.
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North (2014) Though Harry would technically be one of the Reborn, this novel is both a good example of what it’s like to use knowledge from an earlier Descent to nudge history, and how it feels when your best friend in one Descent might turn out to be your eternal nemesis, too. The Chronus Club functions both like a mummy’s cult and a group of Arisen whose Descents overlap.
The Time Traveler’s Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger (2003) gives readers a sense of what it’s like for mummies to experience their Descents in a non-linear fashion, and the effects that can have on those devoted to them.
For sorcerous cults, the works of Robert Howard and Clark Ashton Smith showcase their rituals and eldritch observances.
Games
Assassin’s Creed: Origins (2017) is set in Ptolemaic Egypt, and its stunning visuals can inspire Storytellers running scenes in lost Irem or the first Sothic Turns.
Planescape: Torment (1999) follows an immortal character attempting to piece together memories of his previous lives.

February 2020 Update

Hello Arisen!
Linear time has no meaning to us! We have a 29th day in February! Enjoy this extra day - it certainly gives me an opportunity to squeeze in my month-end updates under the wire!
As you know, we're still in the super-early stages of this project. Preparing the KS draft of the mansucript and running the campaign were just the first steps in a longer journey. There's nothing too exciting to tell you about in this update, but it's important to have these regular check-ins so that we stay on the same page.
So, instead of just counting grains of sand, let's take a trip around the Chronicles of Darkness to see what's going on with the latest projects.
The Geist: The Sin-Eaters book has shipped to kickstarter backers, and will very soon be released for purchase in PDF, Print-on-Demand, and hardcover format through our online partners and your favorite game and hobby shops. Look for an announcement coming soon on Onyx Path's website (www.theonyxpath.com)
DEVIANT: The Renegades is currently in the Editing phase of the project. This Storytelling Game of Vengeance had a successful kickstarter, and helped fund two supplements and a novella. The funding campaign has long been concluded, but the book is available to pre-order from it's BackerKit order page here: https://deviant-the-renegades.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders
Hunter: The Vigil is the latest Chronicles of Darkness kickstarter campaign, and, I believe, the final game in need of an update to the Second Edition format. We've got less than a week to go, and we're hoping to fund one or two more Stretch Goal additions and go out strong! Help us stand vigil and keep the darkness at bay AND complete your Chronicles of Darkness Second Edition collection!
Of course, when I start seeing all of those Chronicles of Darkness titles, I eventually start thinking about mashing them together. The Contagion Chronicle is an "Avengers-style" cross-over chronicle, building a framework to have characters from all of the different gamelines together to create an epic story.

Sure, the updates may all look the same, but they're not! There are differences, and it can be difficult to keep it all straight! See if you can spot the differences!
January 2020 Status Update

In my non-Mummy form. No longer Deathless, just Tired...
We're about to start getting into the regular rhythm of month-end status updates. It's a pretty involved and dynamic process, creating these books, so I want to ensure that I have constant and consistent communication with all backers. Each month, I'll be providing a status update for our rewards (usually nothing more complicated than "delivered" or "pending"), as well as sharing information about this project and other Onyx Path projects where possible.
Many of these updates will be similar - these projects take a fair amount of time to build, and some stages are multi-part processes, so a book in "Development" may not show incremental updates in our monthly summary, but there's always forward progress being made.
Remember this Add On reward? We expanded it a few times via Stretch Goal achievements during the campaign!
DIGITAL REWARD DISTRIBUTION
Many of the rewards for our kickstarter projects take a lot of time and effort to complete. Usually, the kickstarter is a means of moving the project from an idea (even when it's a mostly-fully-written idea) into the actual channel that turns it into a project/product. It'll be a while before we're ready to talk about delivery on Mummy:The Curse Second Edition, and even longer for the projects generated via Stretch Goals (TheBook of Lasting Death).
